Drove a little bit further south down the east coast this morning and stopped in this lovely working fishing village called Kotronas.
Managed to park on the jetty, so got a sea view out of both sides and the bonus of a bit of breeze.

We had a walk around the road to another little island connected to the mainland by a grey pebble beach. There was a total of six people there – a family, a couple and one very strange, but happy old man with a bent wooden walking stick. He wished us ‘kaliméra’ several times then carried on singing to himself.

There was just a small partly ruined church on the island, oh, and a locust. 😬I’d have ended up in the water head first if that thing landed on me!

Back to the van for lunch and a cool off. The local taverna seems to be hosting a wedding reception so there was quite an influx of people in the afternoon. When they hit the beach, Guy decided it was probably a Greek sumo wrestler’s convention rather than a wedding.
We had a swim again in lovely clear water but then got completely sand blasted once the breeze picked up! 😂Just now trying to balance out having the windows open without the fly screens totally inverting themselves.
Happy Birthday again to the Beau-Père 88 years young!
