Got up early and managed to get back in to Auschwitz just in front of all the tour buses. Security is very tight at this place …like being in an airport. Glad we’ve been here – and think it’s good that so many people do come and visit
. Drove on to Kraków with a stop at Carrefour for some food. All the supermarkets are here Lidl, Tesco, Makro, Ikea and from France, Auchan and Carrefour. Prices seemed very cheap. Found a campsite just outside the city centre with free washing machines. Three loads on within the first twenty minutes! Just strung them all out to dry between the trees when five lads returned to their tent and we realised our washing was hanging halfway across their pitch. Oops! They weren’t bothered at all… they later said they only wash their clothes about once a month!! They are Callum and Jordan’s age – 5 of them travelling around in a small car with one tent! They’d been to Pamplona to do the bull run then across to Croatia. Now they’ve gone into town …think they’ll be tiptoeing back really quietly later…not 😂🍷🍺🍺🍺 We’ve sat around all afternoon – nice to have a break. Apologies for the standard of photos tonight – taken by me out of the van window. 🙄
This one made us laugh though …if you zoom in on the paint job on the back of the truck.
