Lake Bled, Slovenia

Got up late… it is Sunday! Guy polished the van & I got the super duper hand held Dyson out (yes – fully equipped this time!). Scenic drive towards Villach stopping for lunch in a picturesque ghost town of holiday homes/ski hotels by a lake. The shops were all closed and we couldn’t be bothered with take n bakes so lentil salad for lunch ….we might be turning weird on the quiet! Eventually we came into Slovenia and immediately had to pay €7 to go through the longest tunnel we’ve ever been through 7.8km. It was quite stuffy inside & did feel like a proper tunnel. On the other side it was quite misty and looking like it might rain. We decided not to buy a vignette as we were coming straight off the motorway. We thought we were back in England due to all the potholes in the roads! 😂Parked at Lake Bled with what should be a stunning view but the rain was fast approaching. We managed to walk about half way round before Rufus sat down and said he wasn’t going any further. We got back just in time as it’s now pouring down and same forecast for tomorrow.
