It was a fairly quiet night to say we were sleeping port side. Rufus was a bit tired from yesterday, so I left him and Guy to play Scrabble while I went into the centre to try and do some Christmas shopping. They came in to meet me at lunchtime and I came out of a shop to find them surrounded by people taking pictures of Rufus the A list celebrity. Guy decided he needed a haircut on the way back and we went into a trendy looking barbers. He was offered a beer and told he could be done straight away. It was no problem him bringing the dog in and Rufus was brought some water. However, I was not even allowed to sit and wait…”this is a traditional barber shop and a male only establishment!” How very dare they??….I’m defo less trouble than the dog 🐕. In no mood for a fight, I took the keys and came back to the motorhome. I had the cherry brandy with me anyway! When Guy came back he decided we’d stayed in the same place too long …nearly 26 hours. So we set off round the coast to look at Belém tower, took a photo then carried on to Cascais to see the Boca do Inferno -a chasm located in the seaside cliffs where the waves are bonkers. We’ve parked on a headland just a bit further round the coast and there is definitely some rain on the way. The wind is howling and today is the first day we haven’t seen the sun since we drove into Spain a month ago! Oh…forgot to say that last night Guy merrily tipped up his creme caramel on to his plate that he’d eaten tuna salad off….he did this by mistake but he still ate it…thus reaching a new low!
