Headed along the coast to Omaha Beach (Charlie) this morning. Weather a bit grim but very atmospheric with the monuments dotted along the coast. We then started the long stretch south to Guy’s parents in Magnan. No chance we were going to make it there today so we have stopped at one of the free ‘French Passion’ sites in Pont St Martin just south of Nantes. Staying at an old vineyard so thought it polite to purchase a couple of bottles of white – could be our downfall. In other news, whilst walking Rufus on a narrow pavement Guy got his elbow clipped (not his wings for a change) by a passing motorhome…he’s ok but says it could have been worse – could have been a car and a caravan! 😂
