Well, that was quite a noisy night. Bit of a storm I think. Very windy and poured with rain – it felt like we were on a boat. We were woken before 7 by a bloke and his two daughters who pulled up next to us with music blaring out ….think they did it for a laugh as there was stacks of room in the rest of the car park. We did have the best view for breakfast though! We moved round the corner to a quieter patch and Rufus and I sat watching the sea in peace whilst Guy cycled off to catch a boat ride, to see the Benagil sea cave nearby. After a while, loads of walkers of differing nationalities started walking past (Rufus said hello to them all!) and it gradually dawned on me that we’d parked in the middle of a coastal path. There was loads of room either side for them all to walk past but most came close enough to check if the kitchen was clean. When Guy arrived back he discovered a tree and some cacti had been planted in the middle of the track we’d driven in on. After a mini panic we found another route out and headed off down the coast. We’ve found parking by an estuary in Ferragudo which looks out over quite a nice bit of old town….however on the other side of the water is Portimão which looks like a massive city and we can hear the Saturday night rave warming up. Rufus doesn’t like raves and we don’t have a baby sitter 😢 (Map of today’s little trip just for you Julie x)
