Decided to stay here today. The motorhomes are packed in like sardines, but at 12euros per night and tucked away behind the police station, what’s not to like?

We’re about 200yds from the lake and about twenty minutes walk to the old town. All the way along the top of of the lake are gravel beaches and lawned gardens with swans, ducks etc Cycle paths everywhere along with bars, restaurants and boat hire places.

Got up late and walked into town this morning to get some bread for lunch. Bad idea after 11am in Italy as there’s only stale stuff left – good there are no preservatives in it, but bad if you’re not up early enough. There was a small piece of Focaccia which we ate by mistake on the way home, and then a very small baguette which could easily be used as a cosh on any mugger trying their luck!

Had an afternoon at the lake – seems so odd everyone sunbathing on grass, looking at a pebble beach with waves rolling in, but it’s not the sea! Guy went for a haircut at ‘Il Barber del Garda’ who was a bit miserable by all accounts. Should’ve been happy charging €25 a go!

Meanwhile, I sat on the beach in the sun and the rain …it couldn’t make its mind up. Gave up in the end and came back to eat more crisps 🙄
