Rained all night again and I think it kept us awake for most of it. Other than the pattering on the roof though it was a very quiet night in the supermarket car park! 😂 We had to get Rufus to a vet as he has to have a tapeworm tablet and a check over before we can bring him back into the UK. Guy rang a local vet and they could get us in at 3pm but we decided to try somewhere further up the country so that we weren’t waiting around all day. We got him in at one near Vierzon just below Orleans at 3:30 which seemed perfect. We hadn’t, however, bargained on the the super strong winds all the way. We reckon we must have used double diesel as it seemed to be against us all the time. Guy battled through it for the whole day whilst I clung on to my seat terrified as we were blown around. Last time I felt anything like that was 1987!! Rufus was very good at the vets …all he really had to do was take a tablet so we wrapped it in ham. They charged us 40 euros for the privilege. Apparently, it’s double that as you get near Calais so hopefully we did the right thing. We did like the name of the vets however…see photo. Carried on to Orleans to find the motorhome site closed. So, Super U car park it is then! 😂😂
