Super quiet in the mountains last night. A bit misty this morning. Had a wander around the quarry – good views all round.

The search was on for water today. No luck at various garages and after much driving around, decided to park up for lunch and have a re-think.

Parking at The Mumbles? Not a chance. Carried on round on the Gower Peninsula. Roads reminiscent of Devon and everywhere packed. Campsites full too!

We were very fortunate to have called at Three Cliffs Bay Holiday Park. Although full, they were kind enough to let us fill up with water – phew! Panic over. They also had a field to park in for people just going to the beach, so, as the sun was finally out, that’s what we did!

It was actually warm for a while, both had a paddle, a sunbathe, then a snore 😂

Realising the tide had come in and we couldn’t get back the way we came in, we had to scale the sand dunes to get back.

No overnight parking, so Guy tackled the hair raising roads again and we drove round to Rhossili Bay. Pretty spectacular bit of coast but the cloud had come back so no sunset for the photographer ☹️

  1. My word, you’re having a few adventures on your trip. Hope sun shines on you today.
Loving your blog as usual. Catherine X

    1. Hi Catherine, yes there’s never a dull moment. Finding it so much harder to sort the van out with water etc in Wales. Rather be in France 😬 I’m so sorry we missed you on your last trip and for my lack of communication. Things were super hectic & as it turned out I think we were only a few days behind you in Devon! Hope all is well with you both. Love Janet xx
