Following Highway 13, we had our first stop at the Låtefossen Waterfalls. There’d been yet more rain in the night and I don’t think there could have possibly been any more water come over those rocks. The noise was deafening.
Carried on the route towards a campsite that we’d found with a view to getting the washing done, but it was much further away than we thought. Lots of low cloud, big rocks and many waterfalls….water, water, everywhere and plenty of drops to drink.
There’s a lot more civilisation down here in the south too, it doesn’t feel as remote as the north.
We had a walk on an old road with the Kvelven tunnel on it. It had been created for tourists in the back in the 1800’s ….and I thought we were the first people here! 😂
Finally reached the campsite. First load of washing on and tumble dried to a crisp. In fact I think they were nearly on fire! I’ve now got baby socks and I don’t think Guy’s t shirts will tuck in anymore! 😂
Sat by the river for an hour until it turned cold. Rain forecast for tomorrow- get the Scrabble out. 🙄
