That quiet little car park we stayed in last night became the noisiest one in Greece till about 2am! I had completely forgotten it was Friday night. 🙄
Got on the motorway towards the Pelion peninsula this morning. All the roads in Greece so far have been brilliant, but we certainly paid the price for it today. Three toll booths – costing us about €20 in total. I can see that they go towards the cost of the time-saving tunnels, but I think the Satnav will be back on the ‘avoid tolls’ setting tomorrow.
This peninsula is apparently a favourite of Greek holidaymakers, and no wonder. It’s very green, with beautiful villages by the sea. We’ve managed to park with our toes in the water again, at Kato Gatzea, it’s a really nice place.

Had a walk along the seafront past some lovely restaurants, but we have a stocked fridge with food going off faster than we can eat it.
Had a swim in what felt like warm bath water, with Guy treading carefully around the sea urchins. I love my sea shoes!

Sat on the beach outside the van until it was dark and the bitey things started having a go. Still nice and warm at 9:15!
