Surprisingly quiet night in a picnic area by a lake, inland from Puerto Banus. We woke to the sound of a cockerel followed by a woodpecker followed by a strimmer. Spot the motorhome 😉It turned into another driving day – more by accident then design. Got on the motorway heading for Nerja, which turned out to be much further away than anticipated. There were no decent campsites around; all had poor reviews. Stopped at a Lidl and suddenly it was lunchtime. Bread today and a pasteis de nata (Portuguese custard tart) too.👍👍👍Nerja was three times the size we expected it to be but still quite nice. The Balcon de Europa had good views and the beaches looked like rocky coves. 85A1A2D6-EAE0-43EC-B289-B82F27196BA73D1FF497-3ABB-4AD1-96E3-A96AEEF04AF48BAF2980-F8FA-496D-901D-0497D359AFABDrove on to find a campsite further up the coast that Guy had researched. As we drove down the road off the motorway we were amazed at the sight of mile upon mile of plastic poly tunnel equivalent…sort of fixed greenhouses. The campsite was on its own completely surrounded by them. All the little towns were like islands in a sea of plastic. Eventually, found this place at Castillo de Banos – we’re right next to the sea so it’ll do for a few days whilst the cyclist gets some miles in.

To Nerja and then Castillo de Banos
