We decided to stay put. It’s all very peaceful for £10 a night. Walking shoes on, we set off on the path along the River Dart.
After just one mile it came to an abrupt end, so we turned around, walked back into town, over the bridge, then tried the other side. Success! We had a lovely walk in hot sunshine up to the village of Ashprington. A Ploughman’s lunch at the Durant Arms gave us the energy to make it back to Totnes.
Although, once we reached the church at the top of the town I had to take my socks and shoes off whilst sat on a bench outside. 😂We’d done around ten miles by the time we got back – first bit of proper exercise for about a week though.
