What a beautiful city! We’ve really enjoyed Valencia. Managed to get the bus in this morning which left from just outside the entrance to the campsite. We made our way towards the Mercado Central and the Barrio del Carmen (the old bit!). The market building and the produce inside were amazing. Could’ve bought bags of stuff, but we were on public transport and had lots of sightseeing to do. Have to say, they had the biggest strawberries for sale I’ve seen in my whole life! Outside, looking at the beautiful buildings, I saw something land on me out of the corner of my eye. Thinking it was an insect, I quickly flicked it off and it landed on Guy. The pigeon above had made a really lucky strike – two for the price of one…tree rat! 😡
We came across a square where they were busy taking down huge papier mache models that had been used during the Fiesta de las Fallas. We were a week late for it but I don’t think Rufus would have enjoyed the noise and the fireworks.355A2CCC-0FBE-4404-BF65-A619A12524EB On limited time as always (dog snoring back in the van), we got the bus halfway back and then jumped off at Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias. Stunning place, fab architecture and shallow pools everywhere – a photographers dream! Caught the next bus, four hours in total – Rufus still snoring!
