Toyed with the idea of going in the Petroleum Museum, which had some good reviews – I think Guy would’ve been enthralled, but doubt I would’ve remained interested for very long. Stavanger, in fact the whole of Norway, is a very rich place due to the North Sea oil found in the 1960’s.

There was a German navy vessel in the harbour – can never believe the size of these things.

Further round, in the Skagen area, people were gearing up for a Pride march…it was all getting a bit busy for us so we went to the tourist office to try and find out if there was a car ferry down the Lysefjord. One member of staff was swamped with customers, so after a quick look for a timetable, we climbed the hill back up to the carpark.
Off to Rema 1000 next for some food shopping. After putting it all away, we thought we might get one bottle of wine from Vinmonopolet. Unfortunately, it was 2.55pm and they close at 3pm on Saturday – reopen 10am Monday. 🙄 it seems that once again, it wasn’t meant to be. 😂
We drove off in a huff down to the ferry port, and after much puzzled investigation, it seems that we can get a ferry at 9:30am tomorrow which will take us to Lysboten, passing Pulpit Rock and other good stuff, so that’s the plan unless it rains.C85F815F-571D-4E88-A630-9A42E30A713E
