Really windy this morning so we took it upon ourselves to walk up the big dune and get completely sand blasted! It’s always much harder than it looks to get to the top of these things and then it’s a bit of an anticlimax when it just ends in the trees. This is such a beautiful place though!
Fully exfoliated, we returned to the van for lunch and contemplated what to do for the rest of the day as sitting on the beach wasn’t an option.

Decided to head up to the campsite at Cádiz, well, El Puerto de Santa Maria to be precise. They always seem to have space here as the place is massive. A man on a bike shows you to your pitch and he asked first if Guy was a good driver. 😂 We said yes, so he took us the direct route to the far end of the campsite. He offered us three different pitches but doubted that Guy could get into the one we wanted with trees for washing line. Three seconds later we were in – the ‘advanced driving course’ obviously paid off.
Washing in (again!), out on line, schnacks purchased from shop, chairs out, glass of wine…all very peaceful, until along comes Frenchman and parks opposite under instruction of campsite ‘guide-you-in’ man. He promptly got his quad bike out of its trailer and then proceeded to move his motorhome to four different positions whilst trying to get a satellite signal for his tv. Each time, he’s also moved the quad bike two metres. Now he’s trying out completely different pitches …I’m not sure what the campsite ‘guide-you-in’ man will have to say about this tomorrow! 😂😂😂
