What a day! Non-stop traffic jams and so many people around. We were expecting it here as it is August, but everywhere seems so different when it’s this busy.
Last night there was a huge electrical storm and then a deluge of rain. Still boiling hot though – the worst combination for sleep in a motorhome as you can’t have the roof vents open.
We set off along the coast road to Primośten – a fairly short drive that took forever. The main issue was people trying to get into a shopping centre for a bit of rainy day retail therapy – 20 mile tail back!
Stopped for lunch in a tiny carpark by the sea and then carried on. The carparks in Primośten wanted €4 per hour, hence a very fast walk around in the rain.

Tried Trogir next, but again, massive queues in and out with zero parking. Then we got caught in the Split rush hour! 🙄

Ǒmis next. The place was unrecognisable to us – not a chance of parking, so had to carry on down the coast. It would have to be an autokamp again.

The ramp down to the first site wasn’t do-able for us.
This second one was full but we could park on the drive outside reception with a steep drop on one side for €31! Had to do it as we’d had enough for one day.

To cap it all, we were out of wine so the campsite shop has sold us some local stuff for €15 ..it tastes like Woodpecker Cider!
