Made our way slowly down from the mountains this morning – a long and winding road. The scenery turned green and the weather got hot! Suddenly we were up to 25 degrees. We’ve ended up in a lovely little walled town called Castelfranco Veneto. Got secure parking for motorhomes for 5 Euros including electricity and services. Had lunch in the sunshine 🌞, then the police turned up! They got out of their car and put their hats on specially to come and check that we’d paid for a ticket! You couldn’t get through the barrier without buying one so I suspect they had nothing much to do this afternoon! Had to wait for it to cool down before we walked into the town – it was too hot for Rufus. Managed to sit outside a bar with an Aperol spritzer each whilst dog laid in the shade with his bowl of water. The Italians are mostly dressed in black jeans and jackets even though it’s boiling – how do they do that?
