There were four quiet taps on the door this morning just as we were getting up. The Police 👮‍♂️!! …Again!! He saluted Guy twice when he went to the door – just checking we’d bought a ticket. Admitted, it wasn’t on display in the window as we had put the blinds up overnight, but it really was impossible to get in to the car park without buying one as there was a machine and a barrier! We couldn’t decide where to head for next and in the end settled for San Marino. We drove for miles and miles across flat boring swamp land on A roads. So many bumps and potholes 👎. Attempted to stop for lunch at what seemed to be a small seaside resort. Immediately, a man appeared and said you can’t park there the Police are watching all the time ( they must be tailing us!). Wolfed down some bread and cheese and carried on. By the time we hit Ravenna, Guy had steam coming out of his ears so we chose motorway. After a bit of faffing we finally got into a motorhome parking area – we’ve climbed quite high up and the views are good but it’s misty. There’s a cable car up to the old town at the top but dogs have to be muzzled to go on it. Think if it stays cool tomorrow we’ll leave Rufus here to have a sleep while we nip up there.
