A botanical theme to most of tonight’s pictures 🌸 egged on by the wife Guy took some shots of the wild flowers in the woods at the back of the campsite. We got up really late this morning as there was a tremendous thunderstorm in the night, so felt like we’d been awake for most of it. Think it was right on top of us, as there were only a couple of seconds between thunder and lightening flashes. Coupled with that, Guy had taken it upon himself to set up the carbon monoxide detector, which I think is necessary, but not sure about the intermittent lurid green flash it was giving off at 3am! What with that and the lightening flashes …should’ve just put a bit of eighties groove on – could have pretended I was back at Zhivagos! 🎵We had a walk around the woods and on the beach with Rufus, then at lunchtime the wind finally dropped and the sun came out. Got the washing properly dry and was just putting sun cream on when it all changed again and it was like a hurricane blowing for the rest of the day. The main event was when a tall floodlight on the beach started to blow over threatening to land on a caravan. Problem was solved by the campsite handyman and a digger – they tied a rope around the digger bucket and lamppost pulling it back and out to safety. Entertainment over.
