Well, we were lucky with the washing, it didn’t rain until we were almost up! Had to chuck it all in the tumble drier at €6 a pop. Baby socks and short t shirts it is then! 😂
Once the rain started, it never stopped all day. We drove to the lighthouse at Peniche for lunch and watched the waves for a while. Then took the terrible coast road south towards Ericeira giving up after half an hour and getting on the motorway.
Haven’t been to Ericeira before and really wanted to have a look around but it was really hammering down and we couldn’t park anywhere as there were height barriers in all the car parks. Ended up a couple of miles south of the town. Parked on a headland, listening to crashing waves and playing Scrabble 🙄
