BA791ADD-5805-4D40-9075-22DD7CB59F7BAfter a quiet night in Tomar we set off for Nazaré with the idea of having a campsite stop to get the washing done. We were a bit befuddled with the time as we’ve now gained an hour making us the same as the UK again. We passed another electronic road toll for about €1.75….I have looked up how to pay them but it’s so convoluted my brain went to sleep!
On arrival in Nazaré, we decided to head for the lighthouse first to see the big surf waves as they were scheduled to die down after lunch. Pretty spectacular stuff – the surfers out there must have a chip missing! There’s an underwater trough here apparently, which causes the waves to get so big. E35D4FEA-680D-44D3-BC7D-2F6DB33D5C11
We were distracted for longer than planned and after calling at Lidl, we didn’t reach the campsite till 3pm ish. Two loads of washing filled every bit of rope and line we possess. Boots on, we walked back down the steep hill to the beach to see yet more waves at sunset. 59507BB3-657D-4514-BD8A-C1F6304A1EA4Got lost walking back up – legs like jelly and the washing is still wet through. Decided to leave it out for a proper soaking in the morning 😂.2954C779-33CE-480C-BF34-09F0F2232C11
