Neist Point

Very windy in the night and rain this morning. Drove towards Dunvegan Castle…a very scenic drive. We think we saw a Golden Eagle along the way, but couldn’t get the binoculars focused quickly enough.🙄Stopped off at The Oyster Shed at Carbost, where Guy consumed two fresh oysters – was a bit early for me; we’d only just had breakfast! Got some scallops for dinner though – the van will smell ace tomorrow 😂

Got to the castle and had lunch, then paid to go in as it was raining. Dunvegan is the oldest continuously inhabited castle in Scotland and ancestral home of the Chiefs of Clan Macleod for 800 years. It’s also a tad boring…sorry. The gardens and views were lovely though.

Onwards and upwards, we made our way to Neist Point, a rocky headland with a lighthouse. Amazing scenery and brilliant walk, even if it was a steep downhill followed by a steep uphill! Almost blown away on the headland and then got soaked. Back to the van to get dry and gorm out of the window.
