Decided to stay another day on the campsite to give Guy a rest from driving and save him from the sheer terror of the wife driving. 😂
He got up early to watch the sunrise and borrowed a lens ball for special effect.

I’d found a walk for us to do on the Walkhighlands website; an easy four miler that would take us over the sand dunes on the headland. There was a small ‘discussion’ along the way about how long it takes me to look at directions and work them out etc etc…so I put my phone away and followed my knowledgable husband for about a mile over the fields in the wrong direction. RTFI I say !🙄😂
Back at the starting point, which was the ruin of an old church, we started again in the right direction. Miles of white sandy beaches turned into a track through huge sand dunes – it was amazing.
Uphill next on to the grassy headland with views out to Cape Wrath, then back along the edge of a M.O.D area to rejoin the sand dunes again. Came back along the road, dragging our heels. 4 miles had somehow turned into 8.2!
It’s been about 19c which feels quite warm, but keeps raining with really strong winds at times. Had the chairs outside for half an hour which is a bit of a novelty this trip. The couple next door are sleeping in the car for the first time tonight. He’s just made some blinds for the windows out of a towel. Not sure if they are brave or mad.

Looks amazing.
