As Cudillero looked like a tiny little fishing village, we thought we’d park on the outskirts and walk in. It was incredibly steep and downhill all the way, so we weren’t looking forward to going back up!

The streets winding down to the port were quite dark and shady but then it suddenly opened out into a little square with a few fish restaurants dotted around. It was the colourful houses that made it though – all stacked on top of one another up the cliff side.

Needed resuscitation by the time we got back to the van. Eaten just about everything for lunch …it’s like we can’t stop !🙄😬

Drove further west in the afternoon to the port of Luarca – a much bigger place with a river running through it and lots of little bridges across. The stand out feature though was a giant ivy covered viaduct towering over the town. We walked along the jetty to see the giant waves rolling in, then back through the town, which we decided was a bit run down in places.

Further west, we drove in to Galicia and have parked for the night at As Catedrales beach. Should be able to see the rock arches and caves when it’s low tide tomorrow.
