The cow bells were extremely loud this morning – that was because the cows were right outside the door. They seemed to have come to enjoy the first of the morning sunshine and snuggle up against the vans! 😂

Coming down from the Col d’Aspin, we proceeded to do the ‘cols d’ everything’! It has, in fact, been a day of non stop mountain passes.

Came over the border into Spain at the Col du Portillon and then wound our way up and down the Pyrenees until we came into the towns of Rialp and Sort. We  both suddenly recognised them, even though we were coming from the opposite direction. We’d stayed overnight in April last year – it’s so odd when it suddenly dawns on you that you’ve done this bit before – must’ve missed it out with the highlighter on the big map! 😂

Finally had a proper stop for a walk around 4pm in the town of La Seu d’Urgell. Nothing remarkable, but it had a nice colourful historic centre.

Seemed to be back uphill again after that, towards Puigcerdà but thankfully the route then turned onto long straight roads.

Now in a free motorhome aire at a little town near Vic. Hopefully tomorrow should be an easier day for the driver!
