Bit of a driving day today as we wanted to get just south of the Picos mountains and there was nowhere we wanted to visit in between. Had a stop for lunch and then for a quick Lidl shop in Burgos.

On the way up to Aguilar, we faced very dark skies but decided it couldn’t be snow as it was ten degrees. In about two minutes flat the temperature dropped to two degrees and we were suddenly hit with rain that turns instantly to ice. We’ve only experienced this once before in the middle of France and it is so odd.

Sunny by the time we reached Aguilar. We came here on our first motorhome trip and parked in a school car park by mistake 😂…it was dark and thick with snow!
We had a walk through the town and up to the castle – everyone still in masks here – even outside.

Back at the van in its designated motorhome parking, we were just getting settled when a car came down for an obvious look around, so we’ve had to move. 🙄Next to the river now along with another so much happier.

Some really sad news to end the day. Guy’s old workmate from his fire brigade days, Fozzy has died suddenly. It is such a shock – if anyone was the ‘life and soul’ it was most definitely him. Sending all our love to Jules and family.
