Woke up to a grey drizzly morning. Abandoned the castle idea as the view was fast disappearing. Forgot to mention yesterday that the trees are full of white cobwebby balls – apparently they are the nests of the processionary caterpillar that come out at night to eat the pine needles.

We made our way towards Pamplona on a mixed bag of roads. Some were brand new and smooth as silk, others were like the best Italian bone shakers. We passed the amazing Mallos de Riglos en-route, then stopped for coffee so that Guy could hopefully get a photo of the vultures circling overhead.

Before we left, he looked admiringly on as some cyclists came past and rubbed his cheese and wine tummy thoughtfully. 😂

In Pamplona we’ve managed to find secure motorhome parking with services and electricity for €10 – bargain! Been for a long walk around. It being a Sunday, the restaurants are all full of extended families having lunch together – it’s so nice to see and hear. Not the best city we’ve visited but it does have atmosphere and some nice streets.
