Wow! What a spectacular place this is – it’s just so old and untouched.
Driven inland today, only for about an hour and a half, but we’re back up in the mountains already. We could see snow in the distance on the way here and passed several ski resorts and a snow plough. It’s certainly cold enough!🥶
Passing by Teruel airport was quite astonishing – we’ve never seen so many planes in our lives and, it seems, neither have they! It’s a storage facility for planes of all kinds that are currently not in use. Covid has given them a bumper two years …or a headache!

Albarracin is only a small place, but even the approach is impressive with its castle and walls stretching out around it. The whole town is terracotta coloured with timbered houses three or more storeys high and very narrow, dark streets to meander around.
We were about to head up to the castle when, of course, it started raining. 🙄l😂We’d decided to re-locate the van anyway as we’d found a better spot for the night under the castle walls with a better view of the swooping vultures overhead. They’ve all gone in now though, to drink wine and play Bananagrams like us!
