Valentines Day! Who would have thought Guy would buy a card in Sainsburys before we came away and then hide it in a book for a month? 😬 Had to scurry round and get the crayons out for a home made number whilst he was out cycling this morning. ❤️😂
Left the campsite at lunchtime, much to the surprise of the
Rotary Club members around us. They come for a month in a caravan convoy ..all very friendly, but we were a bit taken aback when the Chairman sat sunbathing in his jacket and tie!
Drove first to Portimão to buy a replacement iPad…decided today was the day as the exchange rate seems to be good for some bizarre reason. Then went in search of a small white chapel on a headland ( Ermida Nossa Senhora da Rocha) , but couldn’t really remember whereabouts it was on the coast, so we ended up going quite a way off route. Worth it though, it’s very beautiful.
Back round in a circle then, to Alvor where there’s a good cheap campsite. Didn’t seem to be many places left though. It’s chock full of cars, caravans, motorhomes, garden gnomes, pot plants, bunting, fairy lights and many half sozzled pensioners. (Oh, that’s us! 🤪)
