Awning deflation took place this morning with Rufus looking on bemused….until the cat paraded past that is. Guy managed to get us out with a bit of shunting as some people had parked behind us. We headed for Lagos, hoping to pass the LPG station en route. 4 Euros to fill up with gas – can’t be bad. Topped up with diesel too as it was 1.19 and we’re approaching some national park areas where there probably won’t be much chance to fill up. Then we did Intermarche and stocked up – including a brush and a proper washing up bowl – luxury! We’ve parked for the night at a very basic, but cheap campsite that’s close to the old town and beaches. Praia Dona Ana was a very beautiful beach with some stunning rock formations. It was backed by yet another abandoned hotel/apartments covered in graffiti (see pic) – it’s how I imagine parts of Russia to be! The old town was quite nice and Rufus enjoyed plodding along as it wasn’t too hot.
