Still a few ‘pirate’ ships going past last night, but at least they were in the distance. Had a big swim – before breakfast even! The water was lovely.
Set off around the coast to Antalya, which is a massive city. Found an immaculate motorhome campsite on the outskirts. It’s so different to any of the others we’ve seen. Got three loads of washing done for about £1 a go and only one hiccup where we’d pressed pause by mistake. Only got the airer to dry them on though, so rotation in progress.
Decided to get the bus into Antalya early evening, thinking it would be a little cooler. Air conditioning and no smoking was a pleasant surprise, but when it went off route for several stops, I got a bit concerned. Then we couldn’t actually get off the bus when we wanted to as the driver drove off before we managed to get to the doors! 🙄

Such a big place. We tried to stick around the old town and harbour area but soon got sucked into one bazaar or another. There are some Roman walls and castle remains and the whole city stands on a plateau high above the sea. Looking into the distance, the region is so mountainous ..it was a bit overcast today but I would imagine there are spectacular sunsets with that backdrop. Such a mix of people of all nationalities, but definitely a lot of Russians here.

Tried to have a cheap meal out – salad for me and pasta for Guy. The problem is, the minute you involve a glass of wine, the tax on alcohol causes the bill to double. I just don’t fancy apple tea with my dinner 🤣
Odd route again on the bus back. It all looks so different in the dark, but we made it – phew!
