Set off in the rain to find a camping shop so that we could buy some kind of cleaner for our waste water tank. We are fed up with it smelling even though Guy hoses it out every time we drain. Found a shop, bought the stuff, and I promptly emptied the required amount down the plug holes. Guy added some fresh water to the tank so that it would mix around while we were driving. “There’s not much in there” he says, then realised we hadn’t closed the drain to outside! So, we’ve just poured about £5 straight onto the pavement! 🤯…I think the longer we are away, the more brain cells we lose! 🤣 Anyway, it smells a bit fresher for now, sort of Eau de Wrigleys Spearmint Gum!

Rubbish weather, so we drove to the big lake at Banyoles. Never been here before and we had a nice afternoon walking around it, in between getting soaked. They’ve really made the most of it with separate fishing and swimming areas plus a water sports centre. Didn’t see a lot of wildlife as I think it was all sheltering from the rain. A few Mandarin ducks and miraculously, a Kingfisher, even if he way a little far away.

Carrying on up towards Olot in the late afternoon, we decided to park in the little town of Santa Pau which is in the volcanic region of La Garrotxa. Looks like it’s definitely worth exploring, but will have to be tomorrow now.
