A bit warmer today. Coffee in Gill and Karl’s lovely garden, then suddenly it was lunchtime. We went to El Bar Minervois (one last time!) and had the set menu. Three courses for €13 including wine and coffee – fab! Had to wake Rufus up and ask him very gently if he’d like to come with us on a three day drive to get home. He didn’t seem too keen, said something about being Gill and Karl’s lodger. He loves their house and made a bee line for the gate as soon as we arrived. Said our goodbyes and then set off for the motorway.
We seemed to get up to the amazing Millau bridge in no time.F2D4F0E3-F0E3-4ACF-8D62-389ED15A4D32 It was quite windy and we had a couple of traffic jams due to roadworks so we arrived at Saint-Flour a little later than planned. Got parking next to the old town, then went for a walk around to stretch our legs. Passed a bar with lots of people sat outside and gravity pulled us in! Guy ordered a beer which came in a huge glass – he could’ve bathed in it! Might be Super U carpark soon at this rate! 😂C9503B28-1ACB-4034-BB95-F9D39CE95A6D
