It’s been a long day of driving as we didn’t wake up till 9am – both got colds again (hurrah 🙄)…Guy’s had the same one since before Christmas so he’s on Manuka honey and turmeric now!
Down the motorways towards Bordeaux with one péage costing us a whopping €50! Add on diesel at €1.68 per litre in a van doing an average of 22mpg …might have to turn around soon. France has become very expensive.
Speaking of péages …I’ve been through quite a few in the last 30 years so I’m not sure why I decided to press the assistance button instead of the ticket button. To make matters worse, deciding to use up our loose change, I threw it all in the refund slot….then wondered why the barrier didn’t open – there’s no hope!
Stopped off at a supermarket on the Bordeaux ring road, then got ourselves caught up in rush hour.
Finally reached Cadillac, but it was dark and raining so haven’t bothered going in to the town. Just about to wash up when we ran out of water – seems we have an over optimistic digital water tank level display thingy. Luckily, there was a tap around the corner.
No photos, with the exception of one of the blogger blogging. 😂
