Calais ☹️

Couple of pics from last night.
Called at Intermarche for diesel and some last bits before the long drag up the motorway. Finally found a service point for some water and stopped for lunch in Lumbres, level with Saint-Omer. Seeing as we were almost a day ahead of ourselves, I had a look to see if we could change our crossing but it would’ve cost another £100, so drove out to the coast at Boulogne for an afternoon walk with Rufus. We came across a tall monument thing that looked like Nelsons Column – we couldn’t get in to look at it properly but think it was Bonaparte stood on top! 😂 Ended up in a place called Ambleteuse. It was warm in the sun but the breeze felt really cold to us. Not much there really, so after a walk on the wet beach we carried on. Came through Sangatte – looked quite nice …no sign of the camps. Now we’re parked at Cite Europe with about thirty other motorhomes, but it’s just around the corner from the Chunnel ready for our early start in the morning! 😴😩😖
