Well, this place has found its way into our top ten ever! šŸ˜€Just around the corner from Portofino, we liked it much more.

It rained in the night and we’d left half the washing out as it wasn’t dry ā˜¹ļøHad to bundle it all up and try and find a launderette along our route. Guy fancied driving along the coast road – Via Aurelia, as we weren’t in a rush. It was a forty five minute demonstration of the worst kind of Italian driving. Cars pulling out left, right and centre. Scooters swerving in and out, plus car doors flung open at point zero!

We had to park in the next town along from Camogli – Recco. Still managed to pick up a parking ticket of some description …think it’s because we took up two spaces! Guy has filed it 😬

After lunch and tumble drying, we walked around the coast to what once must have been a little fishing village. Still a busy looking harbour, Camogli has the most beautiful tower blocks of apartments I’ve ever seen. Eight or nine stories high and all in different colours. There’s a castle too, with the harbour on one side and a pebble beach on the other.

At €2 per hour, our loitering there was governed by the parking cost, so we made our way back up the hill.

Drove a little further round the coast towards Genoa and now in the only secure parking for miles around. Right next to the main road with the motorway also just above us. Will have to zone them out …it’s just noise, white noise!
