Loafing kind of day – legs refusing to work after yesterday’s endeavours 😂 Got some washing done and pegged out, then suddenly it was lunchtime. This was when we discovered that the butter in the fridge was soft and the freezer contents were defrosting fast. Been parked at a very sloping angle – as is everyone else, but we had a sneaking suspicion it was affecting the fridge workings. Guy went off in search of the ‘man that can’ who said he had some extra wood to go under the ramps.
We gave that a try whilst we walked down to the tiny sand beach and had a swim in the lake – too hot to do much else.
Fridge still warm upon our return – that means we have lots of stuff to eat quickly and there’s no cold white wine 😭
The neighbours all said that the fridge/freezers often don’t work if you’re in too much of a slope. No option other than to try and turn the van through 90 degrees and burn a bit more clutch. The German chap next door was very helpful and it was all sorted within ten minutes.
Fridge is cooling down again now thankfully – it’s just that we’ve got chock blocks under the legs of our outside table now!
