Proper day at the seaside today. Tried to get a load of washing done first thing but all three machines were mid cycle. Went to the beach instead; lasted about an hour then we were hungry š
Had forgotten about the tannoy system they have here…itās a bit like Butlins in the late ā60ās! āMini Club, Pool Entertainment, silencio timeā etc. etc. – all in three different languages. Back to the beach this afto and I finally went in for a swim. I can confirm itās definitely warm water as I didnāt dither around for twenty minutes first. š¬
Walked into Caorle this evening – much bigger than I remember and quite a long walk. Billed as the āLittle Veniceā, itās certainly colourful but far too busy at the moment for our liking. We had a drink then came straight back, sporting our masks! After 6pm they are supposed to be worn by everyone in public spaces but it seems most people are doing elbow or chin masks ! 
Got some steak for dinner – a rare event in our house in both senses of the word. I passed comment about the fact that it was my turn to do the pots and there was a mountain of them. āCan you hear a buzzing noise?ācame the reply! šš”
