A relatively short drive this morning with a bit of traffic around Seville brought us back to El Puerto de Santa Maria, namely Camping Las Dunas.

Three loads of washing to get done asap as rain is forecast tomorrow. We were beaten to the first lot of machines by a fellow inmate which would have put us back by 40minutes. We eventually found 2 more empty machines, but they weren’t switched on – had to keep bothering the “show you to your pitch” man, who seemed happy to help. He told us they have had rain here for the last 17 days!! Definitely struck lucky today as it’s been sunny and breezy.
Strung two lines up and pegged it all out, then we sat in the sun for an hour and Guy did some snoring.
Went for a walk late afternoon. It’s such a strange place here – we’re directly opposite Cadiz and you can clearly see the bridge from the mainland. There’s a beautiful beach with little groups of palm trees but the views all around are industrial to say the least. We walked down a really long causeway out to sea, that was full of groups of people fishing, mostly young lads. We thought we’d actually end up in Cadiz it went for such a long way.
Looking back at El Puerto, all you could see were the white, high rise apartment blocks, but it’s actually quite a nice town on the inside. Part of the sherry triangle, it’s full of warehouses and bodegas.
Got back just in time to get the washing in. Had dinner and then it rained!
