So cold this morning…the boiler came up with “Gas Failure” again! Guy managed to reset it, but we sat in bed with coffee until after ten as it was too flipping cold to get out! Thinking (hoping) that it was just coincidence as one gas cylinder flipped over to the other. Filled up totally to the brim today so at least we can keep more of a check on what’s happening.
Short drive to Cáceres – another favourite place. Slightly warmer than yesterday when we walked into the town and some lovely sunshine at last.
Cáceres has a perfectly preserved old town within its walls and some of the cobbled streets are barely wide enough for the cars that seem to race up and down. Pedestrians have to squeeze into the nearest doorway!

The place is chock full of churches and palaces, while the Plaza Major is all whitewash and iron balconies – really stunning.

Back on the totally free motorway, we filled up with LPG around Merida and then carried on to this quiet little parking place at Monesterio. Had a little walk up to the town then settled in for the night. And now, at 9pm there’s a rave just started up somewhere close by 🤣🤣🤣.
More bass please…it’s not quite loud enough!
