The nutter next door was letting his dog out and guests in at around 3pm this morning – think there was a bit of drug dealing going on there. Wouldn’t have bothered us had he not been so loud about it! 😬
We left Álora this morning (never to return) and made our way to Coin for a Lidl shop. Guy made some more calls to the post office to try and find out the whereabouts of the missing camera lens while I went in and started shopping.
Amazingly, said camera lens was in Gibraltar after all but stuck in a Fed-Ex depot…nobody knows or cares why!
We drove straight there, picked up a letter, took it across the road to customs and retrieved the camera lens…I suspect it’s been there over a week. Anyway, the good thing is that steam has stopped coming out of Guy’s ears and it’s the end of the “I just haven’t got the right lens” routine! 🤣
Taking advantage of being back in Gibraltar, we called in at Morrisons for a few expensive essentials that we can’t get in Spain e.g. Tilda rice bags and simple soap. 🙄
Driving back into Spain at rush hour was interesting – never seen so many bikes and scooters and it was like they all had a death wish weaving in and out of the traffic.

Drove back up the coast a little way to find somewhere to park for the night. Sotogrande seemed like the best bet but although the carpark is huge, motorhomes have virtually taken over it. We hate being part of a problem but sometimes it’s too late in the day to do anything else.

We were just expecting a bit of scruffy beach here but it’s a world apart! We followed a boardwalk along the seafront and ended up in a beautiful marina – very immaculate and expensive looking. Upon further research, it turns out to be the largest privately owned residential development in Andalusia and was once a gated community! Better not look in the shops then.
