Meandered up the coast a bit further this morning and headed for an Acsi campsite in Stoupa. It’s all a bit overgrown, but it’s cheap and the owner has been very helpful.

It’s been the first really warm day today, so we wasted no time at all in getting two loads of washing done. Again, machine loading has to be done under the owner’s supervision. He said they cost €700 and he’s had someone rip the door off before, so can’t blame him really. When we asked about bread, he said there was a supermarket around the corner, but it wouldn’t be fresh as it was Sunday. The kind man then decided he was going anyway, so he’d bring us some back if they had any. Fifteen minutes later a car came by blasting music out and waving a loaf of bread out of the window…”Disco and bread” he announced. 😂🤣Fab service.

Walked down to Stoupa beach and although it’s a lovely big sweep of fine sand and clear sea, it was a bit of a shock to the system as it was really busy. Umbrellas everywhere and lots of English voices which we haven’t heard at all for the last few weeks.

The beach in the other direction was also jam packed, but with umbrellas and empty sunbeds rather than people. Squeezed ourselves up by a rock and then ventured into the water. Took me about fifteen minutes of dithering as it seemed so cold, but once in, it was great. Hope the weather holds ‘cos I’ve got a lot of bread and Feta cheese to swim off! 😬
