A random off piste drive today to re-visit the freshwater spring that feeds the Cetina River. Somehow we managed to pick the boring route out of Omis which started off quite well but soon turned into a long drag.

It was lunchtime when we arrived and there were a few other people milling around. This beautiful blue pool is amazing – the water at the edge is so clear you can’t see where it begins, it’s also really really deep and cold. Divers have gone down to 100 metres, but I think they must’ve got scared after that – or froze!

There are ‘no swimming’ signs everywhere as it’s drinking water but a few people went for a paddle anyway. The peace was unfortunately ruined by the whine of a drone ducking and diving overhead. 🙄

Another long drive back to Trogir in the afternoon. We didn’t want to miss this lovely old town which is on an island between the mainland and the bigger island of Ciovo. It’s narrow stone paved streets are packed with restaurants and the Riva is lined with yachts, three deep, it’s that popular.

Had a drink in the sunshine, then came back to our perfect parking facing the sea. Last time here I just remember it raining and being really windy. Tonight it seems noisy as hell – I don’t think we’ll get much sleep again on the Split flight path and motorbike circuit! 🙄
