Up early- ish again …I’m sure this won’t last! 😂Walked into Kotor town and luckily got there just before the latest cruise ship started its mass disembarkation. We could see all the tour guides lining up ready with their flags.

The town is lovely, with its stone houses and green painted shutters. Cats still rule the place though. They’re all really well fed and most of them look hard as nails. One tiny kitten fancied catching himself a huge pigeon – even made advances up a flat eight foot wall, much to the amusement of all the passers by.

Walked around some of the town walls and through all the little alleyways, by which time it was really busy, so made our way back to the van after purchasing a huge loaf of warm bread.
Paid the kind carpark man, then Guy made the rash decision to drive around to Tivat on the other side of the promontory. It took ages as it was a tiny single track road with big stuff coming towards us all the time – flipping nightmare.
We never even went into Tivat in the end our nerves were so frayed – we did manage to see ‘the Black Pearl’ though – apparently the biggest yacht in the world, not just a ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ thing!

Came back to Kotor really quickly through what we think is a new tunnel.

Followed the coast road then, all the way to the Croatian border. Got through quickly, but of course, down this end, near Dubrovnik, there’s absolutely nowhere to park.

Ended up in a big empty hospital car park where we stayed in 2018. The attendant said it’s still fine to stay overnight but we must get a ticket from the machine. The app won’t work, the machine is coins only and makes no sense. I think Guy might cry 😬- his epic driving endeavours have finally caught up with him.
Luckily, there is a cash machine in the hospital – we then have to beg every bar and cafe to change notes for coins.
I think we’ve only paid till 2am so have to get another ticket in the morning. Just one of those days!
