Yes it was ‘tranquillo’ in the car park last night, but this morning the church bells started very early! I thought it was the town clock and started counting to see what time it was – 57 o’ clock!! When I checked my watch it was actually 7am. 😬
We had a little walk around Loano first and bought some tea towels – for some reason the packer only packed three …it’s not been enough.
On to Albenga, listed in the Rough Guide, but we’re not sure why. It wasn’t really anything to shout about and Guy was worried about leaving the van in the car park – we’re not as blasé as we used to be. Think we’ve got a bit of ‘quaint old town’ fatigue too, we’re so spoilt! 🙄
After lunch we drove to Alassio which is a grand old seaside resort – goes on for miles! Got free parking right on the seafront then had a walk into the town. Not many people around and all the beachfront bars were being packed away for the season. Still a lot of storm evidence here too but the sea has calmed down a lot now – good job if we’re sleeping next to it!
