Magnan to Minervois (Somewhere!)

Should have been an easy day today. We left about 11am with the idea of heading towards Carcassonne so that we can meet our friends Gill and Karl tomorrow morning. It’s always a really long drag through Auch because the road is quite slow. In Toulouse, the phone nav took us through the centre rather than ring road …think this was because we were going directly opposite. The traffic was really bad and it seemed to take forever. Somewhere along the line, we decided to do the scenic route through Mazamet and the black mountains as it didn’t look to be much further. We drove through Mazamet years ago bc and always fancied going back for a proper look.👀 As it turned out, we couldn’t stop because the whole journey was taking forever and we wanted to do the mountain bit before it got dark. It got dark! We’ve pulled in at a cave for a quick degu, bought two bottles, then cheekily asked if it would be ok if we parked outside for the night. The very nice lady said “of course, no problem”, so this is where we’ll stay. Location?…I’m not really sure ! 😂😂😂
