1Bilbao Old Town
Storms in the night, with one clap of thunder right over the top of us. Think we both jumped six feet in the air! 🤣
Heating and hot water refusing to work again this morning so our only option was to head for the Gaslow service place in Bilbao. The very helpful people at Camper Top confirmed Guy’s theory that it might be the regulator and set about fixing it for us, so we took the Metro into the city centre for a couple of hours rather than stand around watching them work.
Just had time for a look around the old town, but it was raining and miserable so had to duck into another little pintxos bar. Just coffee to wash them down today though…didn’t want to get back to the garage smelling of alcohol.
All done when we got back – another £257 we weren’t expecting, although we think we’ve got off quite lightly and seems a fair price for what they have done. Seems like motorhoming is a rich man’s sport – not sure how we’ve managed to get involved in such a thing 🤣
Off down the road to Burgos then, with yet another Lidl stop. Found a huge free motorhome aire so decided that will do for today. We’ll walk into town tomorrow.
