Big night out tonight folks!! ….and back at base for 8pm! After a couple of hours cleaning (still no hoover đą) we decided to walk to the headland to watch the sun set. It felt like a pilgrimage along with about fifty Portuguese people….it must be what you do in Milfontes on a Saturday night. Little wonder – it was amazing, apart from a certain Airedale barking for attention. Seeing as the turkey kebabs hadnât defrosted, we thought we might try and eat out again with our spoilt dog – seeing as itâs about a month since our last attempt. Amazing meal. Fried Dorada for me and fish stew for Guy. Luckily, we were the only people there and the owner wasnât at all bothered by our continuously barking canine companion. In Rufusâ defence, he was tormented by the local cats parading past, a neighbourhood dog barking continuously and various owners of large dogs đ letting them saunter past off the lead. We tried to keep him calm by giving him bits of bread etc. but to no avail. We did manage to glean from the restaurant owner that the weather is unusually Summer like for the time of year, so I think we have been very lucky with the Portuguese weather. Staggered back through town ( we werenât the only ones -most of the Portuguese were staggering ) after the complimentary port. Donât think any Scrabble will be played tonight! Photo credits to Guy (of course) …who else would get a tripod out on a traffic roundabout?..Chris?….Oliver? – is it normal?
