Didn’t wake up until 9:30 😮…not sure what’s happening to us, must be the fresh air.
After some debate about where to head next, we aimed for the coast with the idea of a campsite and making a start on the European washing mountain.
It was a good fast road all the way to Murcia and then out to the coast where you’re immediately hit by the sight of poly tunnels for as far as the eye can see. It looks like water at first, but then you realise it’s plastic.
We drove through Mazarron and then to a campsite in Bolneuvo which we knew would be ok as we’d stayed there before.
The entrance was completely blocked with about a hundred pensioners all waiting for the restaurant to open. I ran into the reception to be told they were completely booked up until the end of February…the end of February!!?? What is this madness?
Pensioners very loath to move out of the way for us to turn around – they didn’t want to lose their place in the queue! 😬
Had lunch in a car park opposite the beach, but max stay was 4 hours. Rang around all the Acsi sites within striking distance but same story – chock a block.
Ended up in a new campsite surrounded by plastic fields, along with a couple of hundred other motorhomes. There’s a bit of scruffy beach but nothing else here. Just wanted to get some washing done really ..there is a machine, it’s outside with a rain cover over it and there were 4 bags in front of ours at 4pm!

Although this region has a very favourable climate – 23°c today, it’s really not the best area of Spain in our opinion, but the thousands of motorhomes around make me think that most people think differently.
